MUSKOGEE, Okla. - A Muskogee builder accused of defrauding multiple homeowners has made a deal with prosecutors.
Jason Priest, 36, pleaded guilty Wednesday to 13 felony counts of home repair fraud.
Priest has been sentenced to two years in prison and 13 years suspended, monitored by the Department of Corrections.
Prosecutors say Priest is the owner of JMP Buildings and Muskogee Barn Company. They say he signed contracts and accepted payment to build barns or outbuildings in 12 counties between 2009 and 2011 but he never completed the projects, scamming victims out of more than $82,000.
Priest has agreed to pay restitution.
