MUSKOGEE, Okla. - A 7-year-old injured along with four others in a fatality accident last week Wagoner County has died from his injuries.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Christopher Crutchfield of Muskogee died Sunday from injuries sustained in the collision. He was admitted to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa in critical condition Wednesday with head and internal and external trunk injuries suffered when he was ejected five feet from the vehicle during the crash.
The trooper who worked the scene of the accident said Crutchfield was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.
The driver, 30-year-old Tiffany Borovetz, died at the scene Wednesday evening after her northbound 1995 Chevrolet on the Muskogee Turnpike near mile marker 5 for an unknown reason left the roadway to the right and rolled approximately two times before coming to rest on its wheels.
Two passengers, including Crutchfield, were ejected from the vehicle. The driver and two other passengers were pinned until extricated by Broken Arrow and Coweta emergency responders.
The others transported to St. Francis were Muskogee residents Quentin Chaplin, 23, and Dillion Borovetz, 9, both admitted in critical condition with arm, head and trunk injuries, and Jordan Borovetz, 13, admitted in critical condition with trunk, arm and leg injuries.
Passenger Clara Chaplin, 42, was transported to Saint John Hospital in Tulsa where she was admitted in stable condition with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
