MUSKOGEE, Okla. - Muskogee authorities say the medical examiner's office has identified human remains found last Friday.

Police say the remains have been identified as 46-year-old Ronald Ernesto Sanders.

Police found a body after a city worker discovered a dog carrying a "heavily decomposed" arm in his mouth.

Officials have not yet confirmed the cause of death, and the investigation remains open.

Sanders had been listed as a missing person since August 2.

Sanders had a lengthy arrest record dating back to 1993, including assault and battery and burglary charges in 2009.
