TULSA - Tulsa police say a motorcycle rider is dead after his bike hit a car in west Tulsa.

Officers say the motorcycle, driven by 27-year-old Dustin Scott Rummans, was heading south on Southwest Boulevard when a car pulled out in front of the bike.

It happened around 5 p.m. in front of the Goodwill Store at 2800 Southwest Blvd.

According to officials, the motorcycle stopped about 100 yards south of the initial impact.

Investigators will determine if speed played a factor.

TPD investigated the collision for more than three hours, blocking both directions of Southwest Boulevard until 8 p.m.
