A fire in a midtown apartment resulted in limited damage Thursday as firefighters quickly got it under control.

The fire started shortly before 9:30 a.m. in the bedroom of an apartment in the Brown Apartments complex near 12th Street and Yale Avenue.

Only one apartment suffered significant damage and no one was hurt. Smoke damage in several other apartments is a possibility, which could result in displacement.

One firefighter experienced slight smoke inhalation and had a bloody nose but was treated at the scene.
