HENRYETTA, Okla. - Family and friends will honor the life of Mary Beth Kafer at a memorial service scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Michael's Church in Henryetta.

Authorities in Okmulgee County are investigating Kafer's death after she was run over by a vehicle.

Mary Beth Kafer was a teacher at Glenpool Public Schools. She taught there for 26 years. A note was sent home Monday alerting parents about her death. Then Tuesday, grief counselors were on hand for students and teachers.

The school released the following statement:

Our thoughts are with Mrs. Kafer's family, especially her children, all of whom graduated from our school. The family has many friends and support from this school. Mrs. Kafer will be missed.
