BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - There are several Memorial Day events going on around Green Country this holiday.

Floral Haven will wrap up their Memorial Day tribute by retiring the colors at 5:00 Monday evening. The nearly 3,00 flags flying at the grounds will be taken down. Each flag is a donated casket flag and represents a fallen service man or woman.

Throughout the day, Floral Haven officials will read the Honor Roll. Every name of every veteran that's been buried at Floral Haven this past year will be read.

Also at Floral Haven, for the rest of the holiday, there will be a reenactment of the Tomb of the Unknown Solider.

The original tomb stands in Washington, in Broken Arrow cadets march at the tomb just as they do at the real one.

The Bartlesville Museum honored veterans at 10:00 Monday morning.

Congresswoman Mary Fallin will be in Catoosa Monday at 5:30 for the Folds of Honor Gala.

The White House Commission on Remembrance asks that everyone in the United States observe one minute of silence at 3:00 Monday afternoon..

It's a tribute to those who have fallen, those who have served, and those who are still serving in our military.
