TULSA - A man is dead after suffering a heart attack that led to a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to the accident on 71st Street near Riverside around 6 a.m.

Police on the scene say the man was driving westbound on the 71st Street bridge when he had a heart attack and crashed into the guardrail.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the man had a passenger who was not injured.

All westbound lanes were initially closed and police were doing traffic control until the scene was cleared.
