TULSA - Two people are behind bars after a man was shot in the groin during an attempted home invasion.
Officers say a 52-year-old man told them he was in his home near Pine Street and Boston Avenue late Thursday when a man came into his house and demanded money.
The victim said he refused to hand over any cash so the suspect shot him in the groin. He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
According to the police report, witnesses told officers three suspects fled in a white Nissan, which was later located and pulled over.
Inside the car were Tylyshia Mason and Michael Sheppard. Officers brought the witnesses to the location of the traffic stop where they positively identified the suspects.
Police say the shooter is still on the loose. He's described as a black male, 30 to 35 years old, 6 feet tall and 180 pounds.
Mason and Sheppard were arrested for armed robbery and booked into the Tulsa County Jail.
