TULSA - A man was arrested for first-degree arson after he tried to set a woman on fire at a Tulsa apartment.
Tulsa Fire Department spokesman Stan May said Kody Lane Shook, 23, poured gasoline on the woman and attempted to light her on fire Wednesday night at an apartment in the 5000 block of S. 80th E. Avenue.
The woman was not set on fire but she did sustain several injuries.
May said he did not know the extend of her injuries.
When authorities arrived to the apartment where the Shook and the victim lived, they noted a strong odor of gasoline and several broken items in the apartment, according to police records.
Shook was arrested Thursday in Claremore on felony domestic assault and battery and first-degree arson. He is being held on $27,500 bond
