TULSA - John Snow was only 14 years old when his mother dropped him off at school and then disappeared without a trace.
Thirty-seven-year old Shirley Joann Banning went missing May 23, 1975 -- Memorial Day weekend.
Banning, the mother of three, was last seen at a store near 31st and Mingo in Tulsa. She made a strange call to her sister a few days later.
Banning's car was later found with all of her purchases still inside. She was supposed to go on a trip with her boyfriend the weekend she disappeared.
In early May authorities searched two wells at a property in Franklin County, Arkansas. The search came up empty. But now Snow feels he's closer to finding his mother. He's afraid that as more time passes those who know where she's buried will also die.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office at 918-596-8661.
