TULSA - A Tulsa area man was killed in a motorcycle accident just north of 41st Street on Peoria Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators say the 44-year-old man was driving his motorcycle through the intersection when a pickup truck pulled out in front of him from a convenience store.
The motorcycle hit the side of the truck and slid across the pavement. The driver was rushed to a local hospital where he died.
"Preliminary investigation indicates that the light, the motorcycle did have a green light. We're not sure the speed of the motorcycle we're trying to determine that now. We're doing measurements to determine the rate of speed," Tulsa Police Sergeant Rex Mann said.
The driver of the truck was taken for a blood test and released, police say.
