TULSA - An 18-year-old Tulsa man has been arrested as the suspected triggerman in an early morning shooting Thursday.

Colton McGhee was taken into Tulsa police custody around 7 a.m. Thursday and faces a charge of shooting with intent to kill.

Police say they responded to a shooting on 68th East Avenue just south of Admiral shortly before 4:30.

Officers found a man lying in the street suffering from a gunshot to the head and neck.

The man, who was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, said his girlfriend's son -- McGhee -- shot him.

McGhee, who was found at his apartment, told police the victim has beaten his mother in the past but denied taking part in the incident. He did tell police he sold a gun the day before.

McGhee is due in court Aug. 30. He is being held on $75,000 bond.
