TULSA - Police are investigating a fatal shooting in north Tulsa Friday night.
Emergency personnel were called to the scene, near East Pine and North Peoria Avenue, around 8:30 p.m.
EMSA found the body of a 48-year-old man upon arrival. He was found with 3-5 gunshot wounds, according to police.
Authorities say a woman called 911 to report a man in her home, who then reportedly left briefly before returning. Shots were then fired, according to police.
Their relationship remains unknown.
"As of right now it's unknown if this is a self defense issue, if this was a dispute, whether it was something else that went wrong," TPD Sgt. Steve Stoltz. "All that part of the investigation is still ongoing."
Police have taken the woman into custody as a person of interest.
It's the city's 18th homicide of the year.
