TULSA - A man was killed in an accident on the north end of downtown Tulsa's Inner Dispersal Loop early Monday.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers told 2NEWS the driver, later identified as 42-year-old Jarrett Paul Clingan, of Collinsville, lost control of his pickup on the I-244 exit ramp to northbound Highway 75 just after 2 a.m.

He hit a guardrail, was ejected and fell from the elevated ramp to the pavement below.  The pickup continued on the ramp and crossed several lanes of Highway 75 before coming to a stop.

Troopers say it took emergency responders almost an hour to find Clingan's body.

The investigation into why Clingan crashed is ongoing.
