OKAY, Okla. - A Stillwater man is dead after getting into a fight outside the Wagoner County home where his ex-wife was staying.

Deputies were called to the home in the Okay area early Wednesday morning in reference to a domestic disturbance.

Upon arrival, sheriff's deputies found an altercation had taken place with a man stabbed to death.

Deputies say Michael Shane Smith, 38, arrived at the home and made his way inside without permission.

Smith then got into a fight with a male resident of the home and a struggle ensued, resulting in Smith's death.
