TULSA - A man was arrested in connection with a shooting at a west Tulsa apartment complex.

Denyreo Chairs, 24, was arrested near 15th and South Lewis on a domestic violence complaint Monday and was later identified as the shooter while he was in jail, said Sgt. David Walker with the Tulsa Police Department.

A shooting with intent to kill charge was later added, Walker said.

Monday night, Jermaine Jackson, 23, was shot in the stomach at Western Pine Apartments in the 2400 block of South Maybelle, police said.

Jackson remains in the hospital recovering from his wounds. He is expected to survive.

Chairs is being held in the Tulsa County jail with a $155,500 bond.
