TULSA - Tulsa police have arrested a suspect who fired at a car Wednesday afternoon in northwest Tulsa, injuring a toddler.
Police received a shots fired call shortly before 1 p.m. near West Latimer Street and North Xenophon Avenue. Authorities say a man noticed what he believed to be his son's recently stolen car occupied by four men and decided to follow the vehicle.
According to the arrest report, Terry Finch noticed the trailing vehicle and fired multiple shots into the car, striking the man's 3-year-old granddaughter in the foot.
EMSA spokesman Chris Stevens said the child was treated at the scene and transported to a Tulsa hospital in fair condition.
The four suspects then ditched the car and fled on foot. Three of the suspects, including Finch, were apprehended.
Police say Finch was identified as the car thief and the shooter.
Finch was booked into the Tulsa County Jail for robbery with a dangerous weapon. He's being held on $50,000 bond.
