MOUNDS, Okla. - A molestation charge has been filed against an ex-Mounds faculty member who had a reported relationship with a 15-year-old girl.
Earl Tennial, a then-English teacher and coach at Liberty Public Schools, was arrested in December over allegations he sent inappropriate text messages and performed sexual acts with the teen.
Detectives say the 29-year-old Tennial admitted to "making out" with the student.
"We would talk about possibly skipping class or meeting after a wrestling tournament and doing sexual activities," Tennial told investigators, according to his booking report.
The school district fired Tennial following a January due process hearing.
Tennial now faces an official charge of lewd molestation.
