TULSA - Celebrity Attractions president Larry Payton has died.

Payton passed away around 10 p.m. Monday at a Tulsa hospital from an undisclosed illness.

In 1983 Payton began Celebrity Attractions, and since then the company has p resented and produced major theatrical, musical, Broadway and family entertainment across the country, including at Tulsa's Performing Arts Center.

Celebrity Attractions is responsible for bringing The Lion King, Jekyll and Hyde, Peter Pan and Jersey Boys to Tulsa.

Payton leaves behind a wife and two children.

He was 64 years old.
