OKMULGEE, Okla. - Jury selection began Monday in the murder trial of a Henryetta man charged in the death of a Glenpool teacher.
Sixty-three-year-old Michael Kafer is charged with second-degree murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in the 2011 death of Mary Beth (Penny) Kafer.
Michael Kafer was Penny Kafer's brother-in-law. Prosecutors say Michael Kafer ran over Penny Kafer with his truck.
Penny Kafer was a teacher at Glenpool Public Schools for 26 years.
