TULSA - A 19-year-old initially booked for the murder of a Tulsa woman has been charged with accessory after the fact.

Josiah Sklar was at the home of 56-year-old Linda Laird when police found her body brutally beaten with the butt of a shotgun.

Laird's son, Hank Laird, was also at the residence, near 74th and Yale Avenue. They are described as friends.

The two reportedly ran away shortly after.

Tulsa police first caught up with Sklar, who told investigators the 17-year-old Laird beat his mother "20 or so times" with the gun.

Laird, who has pleaded not guilty, faces a charge of first-degree murder and is expected to be tried as an adult.

Sklar is due in court March 14.
