TULSA - John 3:16 Mission will continue distributing Thanksgiving meals Tuesday, helping those in need around Green Country.
Thanksgiving food baskets are being handed out through Wednesday at the Mission's Family and Youth Center, located at 2027 N. Cincinnati Ave.
The baskets come with all the ingredients for a Thanksgiving dinner, including a turkey.
Keri Brister just moved to Tulsa from California with 11 family members. She says getting a meal like this is very unexpected.
"This is a big blessing for all of us because there are a lot of mouths to feed and it's like feeding a small army," said Brister.
The non-profit organization expects to pass out around 5,000 baskets this week.
Photo identification and proof of residency are required to receive a basket.
