JENKS, Okla. - Jenks Mayor Vic Vreeland is stepping down.

The city's vice mayor Greg Bowman said Monday Vreeland is resigning Wednesday to pursue a business interest.

Vreeland has worked for the city of Jenks for more than 20 years. 

Bowman, the vice mayor and Ward 6 Councilor, will assume the role of mayor Wednesday night.
