BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - Bartlesville Police Chief Tom Holland confirms that the body of a 10-day-old infant was discovered inside a washing machine Thursday evening.

The 911 call came in at 7:42 p.m. Thursday summoning police and emergency medical workers to the 500 block of Shawnee Avenue.

Holland said the 26-year-old mother, Lyndsey Fiddler, told 911 operators that a relative had killed the 10-day-old baby.

Reportedly, the call taker heard the relative in the background saying the mother killed the baby.

The relative told investigators she went to the home and found the mother asleep, and that she had a hard time waking her.

She said she heard loud noises coming from the laundry room and found the infant inside the washing machine.

The infant's father, Benjamin Trammel returned to the home for the first time on Friday.

"I just cried when I picked up that bottle that was the last bottle I fed my little girl before I went to work," Trammel said.

Fiddler has been arrested for an outstanding failure to appear for possession warrant. Her bail is set for $100,000.

Police detectives tell 2NEWS they don't expect anyone else to be arrested in the case.

"Inside my heart, I can't believe Lyndsey would have hurt our little girl. I don't believe it in my heart to be honest with you," Trammel said.

Two young boys in the home were taken by the Department of Human Services.
