TULSA - After recording the lowest homicide rate in 10 years, Tulsa police were called to five murders Monday.
A 50-year-old man was found shot at the Garden Courtyards Apartments in east Tulsa just after 9:30 p.m.
He later died at an area hospital, said Sgt. Dave Walker with TPD's homicide unit.
The shooting, in the 4300 block of South Garnett Avenue, happened just as the man was walking into his sister's apartment, police said.
Investigators are still compiling details of the crime and possible motives.
Four women were also found shot to death at the Fairmont Terrace Apartment complex in south Tulsa Monday afternoon. A 3-year-old boy found at the scene was unharmed.
TPD is still investigating those murders as well.
Monday's violence brings Tulsa's early homicide total to seven.
