TULSA – Tulsa homicide detectives arrested an acquaintance of a man who was found dead in his home Saturday afternoon.
The victim, 58-year-old Robert Middlebrooks, was pronounced dead at his residence near East Admiral and North Florence Place just before 4 p.m.
When police arrived, an acquaintance of Middlebooks, 49-year-old Karen Haley, was sitting in front of the residence.
Haley was taken in to custody and after police gathered enough evidence, Haley was arrested. She was booked into the Tulsa County jail on charges of first-degree murder.
Police say it appears the victim was involved in a struggle, but there was no sign of forced entry.
The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
