TULSA - Jury selection has begun in the trial against a woman accused of pushing her husband from a Tulsa high-rise apartment.
Police say Amber Hilberling, 21, pushed her 23-year-old husband, Joshua Hilberling, out the window of their University Club Tower apartment in 2011.
Investigators say the incident started as an argument between the two. Joshua Hilberling fell from the 25th floor and landed on top of the eighth-floor parking garage.
Hilberling has been charged with second-degree murder. She contends the apartment had dangerously thin windows and her husband's fall was accidental.
Late last year she filed a wrongful death suit against the apartment.
Court records show that Joshua Hilberling filed a protective order against his wife a month before his death, though it was dismissed when he failed to appear in court.
