TULSA - Besides a trip to the lake, Tulsa is filled with activities for families this Labor Day weekend.
2News found some family-friendly options around town.
Gina Dellinger brought her daughter Elliott to the Tulsa Zoo Sunday.
"We thought we'd come out and see the animals. We came out in the middle of the summer and it was too hot, they were all in their homes. It's a good chance for her to get out and meet some animals," Dellinger said.
Plenty of families came out to enjoy the zoo and the beautiful weather. Dellinger says it's a great way to have fun without spending too much money.
"We can pack a lunch, and the train ride and the carousel ride isn't expensive, so it's a great way to spend several hours," Dellinger said.
Along the Arkansas River, runners and bikers packed the trails. Children jumped and climbed their way around the playgrounds. Beverly Windham brought her grandson Ben out to the River Parks. He's visiting from Little Rock.
"We brought him to play and climb and have fun. It's a beautiful day," she said.
From the Tulsa Zoo to the river trails, many are taking advantage of outdoors activities this Labor Day weekend. Mohawk and Page Belcher golf courses will also be open to the public on Monday.
