TULSA - The League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Tulsa is encouraging everyone to head to the polls this week.
They say the biggest reason some people do not vote is because they are uninformed about the issues.
"They're intimidated," said Heather Hope-Hernandez, president of the LWV of Metropolitan Tulsa. "I've actually heard of people who have gone in and said, 'Oh my gosh, I've got this big long ballot. I had no idea. I just picked the names I liked'."
Hope-Hernandez says everyone should read a voting guide before election day.
"Voting is not meant to be a test. You can make your choices and take them with you to the ballot box," she said.
