Oklahoma City - Governor Mary Fallin signs the School Safety and Bullying Prevention Act into law.
Introduced as House Bill 1661, the anti-bullying legislation was introduces following multiple events that showed Oklahoma has a problem with bullying in schools.
2News aired a 30 minute special on the problems with bullying shortly before the legislative session began putting the topic of bullying in the spotlight.
The new legislation gives schools a roadmap for how to handle, report, investigate and punish bullying related incidents.
