GLENPOOL, Okla. - Police are hoping someone can help identify a man who sexually assaulted a young girl after taking her from her Glenpool home.
Police say the 12-year-old was taken from her home near East 138th Place North and South Elm Street between 4 and 4:30 p.m. Jan. 8. The girl was driven to two different locations and sexually assaulted.
She was returned to her home around 6:30 p.m.
Police say the suspect is an older white male with short gray hair, a gray mustache and a small gray beard. He wore glasses, stood about 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall and weighed between 250 and 275 pounds.
The suspect's vehicle is believed to be an early 1990s model Jeep Cherokee, white in color with black interior.
The first location may have been a construction site. Police say the victim saw a locked gate, railroad tracks and an orange or red cement-type truck.
Police say the victim reported she and the suspect were approached by a woman at that location who asked what they were doing. The suspect rolled the window down part way and said, "I work here and I am just leaving."
Police are searching for that woman or anyone else who may be able to identify the suspect or provide beneficial information for the investigation.
Anyone with information on the assault or the suspect is asked to call the Glenpool Police Department at (918) 322-8110 and speak with any officer on duty.
