GLENPOOL, Okla. - The Glenpool Police Department has released a sketch of a man believed to have abducted and raped a 12-year-old girl.

Investigators say the suspect took the girl from her home Jan. 8, drove her to two different locations and sexually assaulted her.

The victim told police a woman confronted the suspect at the first location, which she described as a possible construction site.

Police Chief Dennis Waller said Thursday that, statistically speaking, locals have nothing to fear.

"As far as being worried about this guy coming back and doing it again, it's very
unlikely," he said.

Police believe the suspect was driving an early 1990s white Jeep Cherokee. He is also described as a bi-racial American Indian around 6 feet tall and 210 pounds with a large stomach and brown hair.

Authorities believe a woman might have seen the vehicle with the girl inside at a construction site, one of the locations of abuse.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Glenpool Police Department at (918) 322-8110.
