Former Tulsa athletic director Stephanie Spring federally charged with misapplying school funds

TULSA - Former Tulsa Public Schools athletic director Stephanie Spring has been charged with misapplying school funds, a TPS spokesman confirmed Thursday night.
The federal charges came down Thursday, spokesman Chris Payne said.
Payne also said the school would not comment until after her court date Feb. 12.
Spring and assistant ADs Jon Wheeler and Trish Pruitt were the focus of a TPS investigation into embezzlement and misappropriation in 2011.
Spring ultimately resigned last January. Her last day with the district was Feb. 7, 2012, the day her termination hearing was originally scheduled.
