TULSA - Officials at the Tulsa County Jail confirm that former Tulsa police officer Marvin Blades Jr. has been released from jail.

The preliminary hearing for Marvin Blades Jr. continued Tuesday.  According to court documents, Blades was remanded to custody and his bond was to remain in place when court adjourned.

Blades has pleaded not guilty to five counts of second-degree robbery.

Police say Blades was arrested for pulling over Hispanic drivers and stealing money from their wallets after ordering them out of the car.

According to court documents, the state now wants to add robbery with a firearm, extortion and knowingly concealing stolen property to the list of charges against him.
