TULSA - After a three-year hiatus, one of rock music's most beloved and successful bands is embarking on a 34-city tour, making their way to Tulsa.
Fleetwood Mac is scheduled to perform at Tulsa's BOK Center May 1, 2013.
The new tour for the multi Grammy-winning and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees marks the 35th anniversary of the release of "Rumours" in 1977, one of the most successful albums in recorded history -- its sales have exceeded 40 million copies to date.
"Rumours" planted itself at the top of the pop charts for more than 31 weeks and had four top 10 singles.
Fleetwood Mac's current lineup includes Mick Fleetwood and John McVie, both original members since 1967, and Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, who joined the band in 1975.
“After spending four days at Lindsey’s house working on music and one really fun day doing a crazy photo session, I am quite excited about next year. Everything seems to be falling into place. 2013 looks like the year of Fleetwood Mac,” said Nicks.
Tickets go on sale Monday, Dec. 17 at 10 a.m. through all Tickets.com outlets, the BOK Center box office or by phone at 866-7-BOK-CTR.
American Express cardmembers can get advance tickets for all tour dates starting Monday, December 10 at 10am.
