TULSA - With millions of people are rushing to get their gifts sent off in time for Christmas, FedEx is expecting the busiest shipping day in company history.

The company expects about 20 million packages to be shipped Monday.

If you plan to send something, FedEx has some tips to ensure the package reaches its destination.

  • Have complete name, address and phone number of both the person sending the package and the person receiving the package.
  • Write "gift" on the package, maybe even giving a description of what material it is made from so handlers know to be extra careful with it.

The cut-off date for sending a ground package by FedEx is Dec. 17.  UPS and the postal service suggest similar dates to make sure your package arrives on time.
