OOLOGAH LAKE, Okla. - More than a week after disappearing while fishing in Oologah Lake, the body of 35-year-old Jeremy Brewer has been found.
Volunteers and Oklahoma state troopers had been looking for Brewer for the past eight days.
Brewer was fishing with an uncle and cousin Thursday, Nov. 8 when winds caused the boat to take on water. The other two men made it to shore but Brewer was never found.
A husband and wife team from Illinois , which drove in Friday after hearing of the search effort, actually found Brewer.
Armed with state-of-the-art sonar technology, Dennis and Tammy Watters were able to find Brewer's body within minutes.
The couple, both of whom are members and volunteers of the non-profit Texas Equusearch, has used the marine technology to find 67 bodies since 2005.
