TULSA - Police are looking for a man who stole an EMSA ambulance Saturday night.

The vehicle, which was on medical standby for a mixed martial arts event and the River Spirit Casino, was stolen around 8 p.m., EMSA spokeswoman Kelli Bruer said.

The event was postponed temporarily until another ambulance was able to arrive, officials said.

There was not a patient on board and no medics were inside the vehicle at the time, Bruer said.

The ambulance was recovered about 20 minutes later in a residential neighborhood near East 56th Street and Riverside Drive.

The vehicle was not damaged and all equipment was accounted for, Bruer said.

A suspect description has not been made available. No arrests have been made.
