TULSA - An EMSA ambulance was involved in a single-vehicle accident Friday in downtown Tulsa.

EMSA spokeswoman Kelli Bruer says the ambulance tipped onto its side in the southbound lane of Highway 75 near the Inner Dispersal Loop (IDL).

Bruer says no patient was on board and the medics were uninjured.

"Our number one concern is always the safety of patients, citizens and employees," said Bruer. "We are grateful no one was hurt."

Bruer says no misconduct by the driver is suspected; however the incident will be under investigation, as is the case with any accident involving an ambulance.
