TULSA - A sleeping driver suffered only minor injuries Wednesday after being ejected from his car during a rollover accident near Sapulpa.
The 20-year-old man was on his way home from school around noon after working a midnight shift when he fell asleep behind the wheel.
His car crossed through four lanes of Highway 66, just west of Highway 117, into oncoming traffic.
Police say his car flipped after hitting an embankment and going airborne.
He was ejected and landed in a pile of brush that officers believe cushioned his fall.
The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment for an ankle injury, scrapes and bruises.
Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
