ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. - A deadly accident shut down a busy highway in Rogers County for more than eight hours Sunday.
According to OHP, 74-year-old Jimmy Roberts, of Skiatook, crossed into oncoming traffic around 6 p.m. on Highway 169 just north of Talala.
Roberts hit a semi head on, causing both vehicles to catch fire and burn.
Roberts was killed in the accident.
The driver and passenger in the semi suffered only minor injuries.
Troopers redirected traffic to county roads as crews cleaned up the scene.
The highway reopened to traffic at 2:15 a.m. Monday.
Authorities haven't determined the cause of the crash.
