KEYSTONE LAKE, Okla. - Drive up to the New Mannford Ramp on Keystone Lake and you see a lot of construction.
Crews are building a 253 foot dock and marina on the lake that's part of Ron Howell's CrossTimbers Marina expansion.
MariCorps Field Manager Chris Moffeit is moving the dock to its new home which is just a few yards down the lake. His crews built the dock in four weeks and it's just the first phase.
Mannford's City Manager Mike Nunneley calls this "the major turning point for Mannford".
He says builders are buying-up land around the marina. In the last two days, they've sold 36 lots. This week, they're selling 40 more lots.
Nunneley is expecting $300,000 more each year in sales tax revenue and $1million more in property tax for Mannford schools.
Howell is opening 130 slips on Memorial Day.
