TULSA, Okla. - With the winter weather expected early Monday morning, many Tulsa residents spent part of their Sunday preparing.
At Westlake Hardware in Brookside, it was a somewhat steady trickle of people in all day.
"We've been fairly busy. We've seen an influx of business with people coming in and stocking up on ice melt, snow shovels, sleds, tube sand, anything weather related," said Gary Bresnehen, Floor Manager of Westlake Hardware.
David and Dottie Wilkerson might be husband and wife, but when it comes to snow, they have different opinions.
"I hope they're very wrong. I think we've had enough of the snow over the last two years. It's okay if it misses us this year," said Dottie Wilkerson.
"I disagree," said David Wilkerson. "I think we need at least one day of snow."
Tulsa crews will be on standby with a fleet that includes 55 sand and salt spreaders, 39 snow plows and more than 14,500 tons of salt.
If crews are deployed, heavier traveled roads will be cleared first.
