TULSA - Tulsa fire crew battled a north Tulsa house fire early Friday morning.

The fire started just before at 4:30 a.m. on 27th Place North near Apache and North Cincinnati Avenue.

Witnesses reported seeing heavy smoke and flames coming from the house.

It was originally thought someone might be trapped inside the home but two searches by firefighters did not turn up a victim.

The fire was put out quickly.  Investigators are working to determine the cause. 

Damage is estimated at $20,000.
