COWETA, Okla. - Two people were killed Sunday in a motorcycle accident near Coweta in Wagoner County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a Nissan Pathfinder was northbound on 353 East Avenue about a mile north of Coweta when it left the roadway, overcorrected and came back onto the roadway where it collided with a southbound motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle, 64-year-old Kenneth Gray, and his passenger, 52-year-old Jacquelyn Waid, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Both Gray and Waid were from Broken Arrow.
Troopers say the 47-year-old driver of the Pathfinder, was treated at the scene for minor leg injuries and released.
His 7-year-old passenger was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
