COWETA, Okla. - Investigators are trying to determine what, or possibly who, started a fire at a popular tavern in Coweta early Friday morning.
Firefighters responded to the Wagon Wheel Bar and Grill just after 2 a.m., working to put out the flames for nearly four hours.
By the time the fire was under control, officials say the structure was a total loss.
The roof caved in, said Coweta fire chief Hal Bumgarner.
Bumgarner said the state's fire marshal's office is investigating, but called the fire "suspicious."
