COWETA, Okla. - A home in Coweta was destroyed overnight when it went up in flames.
The homeowner says he heard a loud popping sound in the garage around 12:30 a.m.
When he went to investigate, he found flames.
The man and his girlfriend were able to escape the blaze without injury.
Officials say the home and two vehicles in the garage were a total loss. The damage is estimated at $175,000.
Investigators know the flames started in front of the garage but have not yet determined a cause. They are spending time on the scene Tuesday doing a full investigation.
