TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- The Army Corps of Engineers is extending a delay in the opening of recreational facilities in the Tulsa District along the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System.
The agency says the facilities are now slated to open on May 15.
The corps says there are a couple of exceptions. Facilities at Bluff Landing and the boat ramp at Tullahassee Loop are to open on Wednesday.
Corps officials say the opening delays are to allow a work plan to be developed that takes into account federal budget cuts.
