TULSA - A would-be robber ended up in jail Tuesday night after his victims turned on him.

Police say 25-year-old Bernardo Brunet walked into a liquor store near Pine and North Peoria around 9 p.m., pulled a gun on the clerk and demanded money.

It went downhill from there for Brunet when he put his gun in his pocket to help the clerk gather the cash.

Police say Brunet ended up with cuts and scrapes after the clerk and a security guard jumped him and held him down for police.

Brunet was treated for his injuries and later booked into the Tulsa County Jail for attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.
